Happy St Patrick's Day! ☘️ Today I'm thinking Happy St Patrick's Day! ☘️ Today I'm thinking about my beautiful Mum and Dad, who are both from the Emerald Isles and think how lucky I am to have such wonderful parents and a wonderful heratige. My girls haven't taken after me much, they are the split of their dad ❤️ but I see their Irish side every day in their beautiful freckles. They have the most special relationship with all of their grandparents and I captured these shots of my Mum and Dad with the girls in the summer last year. I can't wait for more sunset shots as the weather warms and I have made it my new resolution to photograph mine and my husband's parents more, as these memories are so precious! Xx

The colours are amazing, the ferns are a stunning brown, plus there are leaves to throw and hills to run down. 2. This little dude!! He was so cool and fun and embraced everything about the photoshoot. 3. It was raining and no one cared! 4. They understood the assignment when they chose their outfits for this shoot! Let's talk siblings and pets!! 🐕 *Q - Can my Let's talk siblings and pets!! 🐕 *Q - Can my older child be included in the photoshoot?* YES!! They are always welcome in newborn photoshoots!! ❤️ I just love to capture big brothers and sisters and their connection with their new baby! *Q - What if they don't want to touch the baby or be in the photos?* It can happen! But, I always try to make sibling shots as fun as possible. It usually involves going on an adventure and climbing around my beanbag frame! But if they still don't want to pose with their new baby, then a solo shot and some photoshop magic can help there! *Q - Newborn photoshoots take a long time. Won't my older child get bored?* Yes, which is why I usually suggest older siblings come along later. Usually 2 hours into the photoshoot for their own special sibling shots. This way they don't get bored and it is exciting when they arrive for their turn. Often it can be a grandparents bringing them along, or one parent. Or even after school. If that's not possible, that is ok too as we have a playroom with plenty of toys and a garden to keep them busy! *Q - Can I bring my pet to be included in the photos?* As you can see from the image on this post, 100% yes! Our pets are family too and I love to involve them in newborn and family photoshoots! Any other questions? Meet Mrs Ellery! Helen is the head teacher of the Meet Mrs Ellery! Helen is the head teacher of the wonderful St Amands Catholic primary school in East Hendred, near Wantage. I was lucky enough to work at St Amands for a number of years, and what a wonderful nurturing school it is! Now I'm back working in photography full time and I get to be their official photographer instead! 🥰 📸
